Giving Tuesday at St. Mary's College
What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday started in 2012 as a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
St. Mary’s College of Maryland embraced Giving Tuesday in 2014 and has raised nearly $1.5M on this global day of giving thanks to supporters like you. This year, we hope you’ll help us reach our goal of 2,000 donors on Tuesday, November 29 with a gift to the St. Mary’s Fund, the General Scholarship Fund, or to another SMCM fund of personal significance.
Online: Most will give through the special Giving Tuesday giving form which is only live during the 32 hour campaign.
By check: Make payable to “SMCM Foundation” with “Giving Tuesday - SMCM (Fund Name)” in the memo line, postmark by Tuesday, November 29, and mail to SMCM Foundation, 18952 E. Fisher Road, St. Mary’s City, MD 20686
